TIS(Taxpayer Information System): TIS is an information categorywise aggregated information summary for a taxpayer. Under each information category, it displays processed value (i.e, value processed as a result of information deduplication based on pre established rules) and derived values (i.e value arrived after taking taxpayer feedback into account) and processed value. The derived information in the TIS will be used for prefiling of return (if applicable).

Steps to Download TIS:

Step1: Visit https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal

Step2: Login with your ID and password

Step3: Go to "Services" and open "Annual Information Statement (AIS)"

Step4: A dialog box pops up in which click on "Proceed"

Step5: Select "TIS".

Step 6: Select "Financial Year" for which you download TIS and Click on "TIS".

Step 7: Click on "Download.

Password of TIS

Password of TIS includes two things:

• PAN of the taxpayer in small letters
• Date of birth of taxpayer in ddmmyyyy format without any space in between

E.g:- If taxpayer's PAN - ABCDE1234F and Date of Birth is 01/01/2000 then password will be abcde1234f01012000.
